Australian and New Zealand Students Application Process

Entry requirements for Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses (Domestic Students)

  1. Must be at least 16 years of age
  2. If you possess a secondary school (Year 12) certificate, or have completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification – entry into any course
  3. Entry is open to all others based on a pre-training review so we can check your existing competencies and understand your current levels of language, literacy and numeracy, and provide support where required
  4. Students seeking Government funding must meet state and / or federal Governments' eligibility requirements"

Important: Academia is approved by Centrelink for Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance.

Select the campus then faculty

(e.g. Hospitality) and course(s) (e.g. Certificate IV) you wish to study.

Submit supporting evidence documents

Submit supporting evidence documents (Originals in person or certified copies) along with the Enrolment Form and undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy test for us to determine if you require any additional support.

Pre Training Review

Academia will organised a Pre Training Review with you to ensure you’re academically suited for the course seeking enrolment. We will also determine your eligibility for any State Funding or a Vet Student Loan.

Course Offer letter

If successful a Course Offer letter will be issued, explaining fees, implications of any State Funding or Vet Student Loan (if relevant). Please read the terms and conditions of the offer and contact us if anything is unclear.

Accept the offer

Accept the offer, by signing and returning the acceptance section of the Offer Letter

Process payment

If taking a Vet Student Loan, Academia will issue with an Electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) to your personal email.

Academia confirmation

Once we receive your payment or eCAF, Academia will confirm a place in the course selected to you in writing with an Acceptance Advice.
