Do I have to study the certificate iii before enrolling in the diploma in early childcare and education?

Students may choose to enrol in this course following their completion of the Certificate III, particularly if they want to build their skillset or advance their current career.

In the past, students were required to complete the Certificate III before enrolling in the Diploma, however this requirement has been changed by ACECQA.

That means students who wish to enter the childcare industry and strive for a more senior or managerial role can enrol directly in the Diploma.

Work Placement

The work placement requirement of the Diploma in Early Childcare and Education qualification is 240 hours.

Work placement is organised for you to be completed at one of Academia’s industry partners, this allows students put into practice the skills they have learnt.
