Our CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a nationally recognised qualification. Graduating with this Diploma will qualify you as an educator responsible for developing and implementing programs and plans in accordance with regulations, accreditation, duty of care and quality standards for an early childhood facility.

To enter this course, you must hold a CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Prerequisites

As per National Training Package requirements, you must complete the Certificate III course before starting the Diploma course. Currently, those who have completed the CHC30113 OR CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care are qualified to study the Diploma course.

If you are interested in obtaining a CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care but have not completed the Certificate III course, Academia provides a course package that allows students to study both Certificate III and the Diploma courses.

  1. Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence

  1. Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

Industry placement

Our Diploma qualification requires a minimum of 280 hours of work placement at a registered early childhood education and care facility. This placement is organised and managed by Academia. Academia takes pride in its strong industry partnerships with over 60 registered early childhood facilities across Melbourne. This hands-on experience allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge and skills acquired in real-world settings under the guidance of skilled professionals. By partnering with reputable early childhood facilities, Academia ensures that students receive high-quality training and exposure to diverse early childhood education environments, enriching their learning journey and preparing them for success in their future careers.
