Explore your potential through government funded courses online

2020 has left a lot of people wondering what their next move is going to be – thanks to new government funded courses, you might not need to wonder for much longer.

If you’re looking for a new challenge, deciding what to do now that you’ve left high school or thinking of changing direction, it might be a good idea to look into government funded TAFE/vocational courses.

There are endless opportunities available to Australians at the moment. Whether you’re looking to enter the beauty industry, aged care, or even child care, there is funding available!

The first question you have to ask yourself is whether or not you’re eligible for a subsidised course…

First question: are you eligible for a government funded course?

Before you get your heart set on a government subsidised course you should visit this page to determine whether you’re eligible for government funding.

Complete our questionnaire, and learn more about:

  • How your personal details impact your eligibility
  • The courses you’re planning on choosing
  • Which courses we offer at Academia

And most importantly, it’ll also give you an idea of whether or not you’re eligible.

Of course, these aren’t the only criteria – the scheme also features a number of other criteria that can make you eligible such as asylum seeker or human trafficking victim status, or a previous role in the auto industry or at a coal-fired power plant.

Unsure if you qualify? Want to hear about eligibility in more detail? Our friendly course advisors are only a phone call away!

What government funded courses are available?

Prior to the recent changes made to the TAFE/vocational and training system there were a limited number of training positions available.

The new changes however make training opportunities available to all eligible applicants, with a broad range of different opportunities available across a number of fields including trades, beauty, and aged care.

Online learning gives you more options

We understand that not everyone’s schedule is free enough that they can spend multiple days a week in the city attending in-person classes – luckily, that’s what our online learning system is here for.

Online learning can understandably make people a little nervous, as they wonder if they’ll really get that in-classroom replica from behind a computer screen.

That’s why we have developed an online learning service that is tailored to our students needs, and replicate the in-person experience as much as possible with:

  • Small class sizes to maximise the attention you get
  • Virtual whiteboards which allows you to interact with the content
  • Systems to collaborate with students in real time

It’s been a crazy year and we understand that we can’t always be in control of everything. Which is why all our classes are recorded so that you can watch them back!

While not all of our courses can be completed 100% online, our online learning system gives you more options, and unlocks greater flexibility in the way you study and build your timetable.
