This course is ideal for students who want to develop all the essential skills needed to begin a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
It runs for 40 weeks (1 year duration inclusive of term breaks), which includes three days a week for ten weeks at work placement in a salon.
Thanks to the hands-on component, you’ll gain a wealth of real-world experience in the beauty industry so that you can confidently find your dream job after you graduate.

Diploma of Beauty Therapy
So you have successfully completed your Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy. Alternatively, you’re a current beautician who wants to take your career to the next level or operate your very own salon.
In either case, you will be able to expand your skill set by enrolling in a Diploma of Beauty Therapy. This course is ideal for anyone wants to own, operate or manage a beauty salon or spa.
You will learn to master the cosmetic and beauty treatments you learned during your Certificate IV, as well as developing your skills in more advanced beauty therapies and treatments such as:
- Spa therapy and management
- Advanced massage techniques (like stone therapy or head massage)
- Aromatherapy and application of aromatic plant oil blends
This will allow you to oversee and train employees to ensure your business operates at the highest level.
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is a 1.5 year course inclusive of term breaks, involving three days of work placement per week over a twenty week period. Additionally, the course involves both face to face tutorials and beauty therapy workshops in the Academia purpose built salon.
