VTAC Preferences - Victorian year 12 graduates

Selecting your course and your education institution can be daunting and confusing

Even so it is an important decision with the following considerations to be made:

  1. Reputation of the institute
  2. Location
  3. Size and student mix
  4. Extra curricula support (Student support services, employment support, counseling and welfare)

Academia, multi-award winning Institute, has unique advantages over your traditional TAFE. Some of these include:

  2. You are treated as an individual with your own training plan tailored to your specific needs
  3. A number of our courses offer internships as part of the course
  4. Better Teacher : Student ratios
  5. Study full time only 3 days per week freeing up the rest of the week for work or leisure

How to apply?

Apply through VTAC

Go to http://www.vtac.edu.au/courses-inst/institutions/academia.html to select Academia Australia course(s) as your preference, then:

  1. Academia will contact you with a provisional offer;
  2. Academia will invite you to attend a pre entry interview;
  3. Complete the pre entry interview and forms;
  4. If successful, Academia will grant you admission to your course of preference

VTAC special access entry scheme (SEAS)

The Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) enables our selection officers to grant special consideration to certain students where applicable.

To be eligible applicants for SEAS must also submit a VTAC course application and satisfy all relevant course entry requirements. Academia Australia supports SEAS for the following categories:

  1. Age
  2. Recognition as an Indigenous Australian
  3. Non-English speaking background
