The 10364NAT - Certificate III in Spoken and Written English is a general English course designed for students, typically IELTS level 4, who wish to improve their English language proficiency for study, work or travel. The flexible nature of the Certificate enables students to focus on general English skills development or to focus on particular areas such as listening, speaking, reading or writing, depending on the needs of the individual student.
The content of the English program reflects the needs and aspirations of the students, therefore for those students continuing on to Certificate or Diploma courses in Commercial Cookery/Patisserie or Hairdressing resources from these programs are used extensively in their English classes. In order to receive the 10364NAT - Certificate III in Spoken and Written English a student must complete 9 modules. There is 1 core module and 8 elective modules - 2 of which must be selected from the spoken modules and 2 from the written modules. In the event that the student does not complete all 9 modules, a Statement of Attainment is issued for any modules completed. On completion of the 10364NAT - Certificate III in Spoken and Written English students may enrol in the 10365NAT - Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English - Further Studies.
