10363NAT - Certificate II in Spoken and Written English provides a general education curriculum framework for English as an additional language (EAL) language and literacy education primarily targeted to newly arrived migrants, typically at IELTS level 3, who need to develop language skills to participate in a range of community contexts. The course focuses on language skills to enable learners to satisfy their own simple everyday transactional and limited social needs. All modules are delivered in tutorial-style classes.
In order to receive the 10363NAT - Certificate II in Spoken and Written English a student must successfully complete 7 modules – 1 compulsory module and 6 elective modules with 1 module from the spoken text electives and 1 module from the written text electives. If a student does not complete all 7 modules they are entitled to a Statement of Attainment for the modules they have completed. On completion of the 10363NAT - Certificate II in Spoken and Written English students may enrol into the 10364NAT - Certificate III in Spoken and Written English.
