Australian and New Zealand Students Application Process
Entry requirements for Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses (Domestic Students)
Must be at least 16 years of age
For entry into a Certificate 3 or 4 qualification, a minimum Year 10 Secondary Schooling completion or equivalent is required
For entry into a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification, any one of the following conditions is required (a, b or c and d):
A Senior Secondary Certificate of Education issued at the completion of year 12; or
Successful completion of an assessment of your reading and numeracy skills at ACSF level 3 (organised by Academia); or
You have a qualification at Certificate 4 or higher that was delivered in English; and
Academia is satisfied that you are academically suited for the course seeking enrolment
If you are between the ages of 16 and 18 an enrolment interview is required.
Mature age students can also enter based on an interview
Pre-requisite units applicable for some qualifications
Students seeking Government funding must meet state and / or federal Governments' eligibility requirements

Applicable to Victorian Campus only
This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
VET Student Loans available to Australian Citizens
Australian Citizens wishing to study Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses can apply for VET Student loans issued by the Federal Government of Australia. VET Student Loans are an Income contingent loan where students study now and pay later once their income threshold Exceeds $54,869 (2016-17 income year).

Important: Academia is approved by Centrelink for Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance.

Submit supporting evidence documents
Submit supporting evidence documents (Originals in person or certified copies) along with the Enrolment Form and undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy test for us to determine if you require any additional support.
Pre Training Review
Academia will organised a Pre Training Review with you to ensure you’re academically suited for the course seeking enrolment. We will also determine your eligibility for any State Funding or a Vet Student Loan
Course Offer letter
If successful a Course Offer letter will be issued, explaining fees, implications of any State Funding or Vet Student Loan (if relevant). Please read the terms and conditions of the offer and contact us if anything is unclear.
Accept the offer
Accept the offer, by signing and returning the acceptance section of the Offer Letter
If taking a Vet Student Loan, Academia will issue with an Electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) to your personal email.
